And yes- i was at the mall too. I have all the pics and i think i remember you being there. Might be a good one to post! As for the distance, yes, i know it is a long haul- which is why we usually carpool.
And thanks, i like your work also~. Looks a whole lot freer than mine. I keep trying to loosen up but it seems to just not be my style- i don't like anything i do without anality~~ (yes, i make up words too)
I would love to do life drawing again. We did it once about 25 years ago in Pburg at the old PAC when we were the Ohio Valley Artists group. It caused quite a (ridiculous) stir among the docents and we havent' been able to get it together again since.
As for OPAS, Claude has invited me several times and i get fwded mails about the events, though i am not a member. I might go on a jaunt with you all come spring. I might drag Claude along with me- he sure would love that as he doesn't get out much of late. We'll see. Keep me posted~
I'm going to go look for those pictures....
I know your Complain Airs. I have painted with them in Jackson county Ohio and at the Mall in Athens painting the mural. They are a great bunch. I recently taught a plein air class at the Dairy Barn and had a Complain Air painter attend. The name excapes me at the moment. Very good artist. Perhaps you may be interested in joining the state wide Ohio Plein Air Society which I am president www.ohiopleinairsociety.com, we have paintouts every month and paint in at museums during winter. An annual competition with prizes for juried work. The membership is at 185 or so. We hire guest artists to instruct workshops and demos. Its a lot of fun. Anytime you want to get together and paint let me know. Parkersburg is a bit far to drive. I am trying to get some figure models around Athens. I love your work.
