It appears that we've been--I don't know the correct term, but invaded comes to mind. I'm sure the blog post just before mine is not from one of our subscribers, and it doesn't belong here. There's probably a way for me to let the admnistrator know, but he'll spot it soon.

Even tho the sky is overcast, gloomy and all those other adjectives, and the ground is covered with fresh snow, it's definitely a little warmer out, and you can feel the thaw coming. The birds are positive spring is

More snow- I posted a video on youtube of my husband plowing our driveway. (www.youtube.com/burroakoutfitters) My shop has mostly been closed the last 2 months. If it isn't snowing, my daughter has car trouble and can't make it. Not that we've had any real business. Even the kids across the road haven't been coming over. I've dug out the drive here by hand 3- or is it 4?-times this month. This weather has really put me in a bind. With no mon… Continue

Ugh, I hate the way my yard looks after the snow melts. Mushy and squishy to walk thru, things I meant to put up but forgot to laying all droopy. Little bits of things my dog has dragged out- paper and bits of plastic she chewed up, and some things I don't want to get close enough to to identify. On the other hand, now is the time to actually see where I'd like to make improvements- new flower beds, a rock garden, the berry bushes I've planned on planting for 2 years. Continue

Wed thru Fri of last week was the ATA trade show- ATA being the Archery Trade Association. I've been a member for 3 years now. The show was held in Columbus this year, making it convenient when it turned out we couldn't go up all three days. This show is archery's biggest trade show- manufacturers, factory reps, and celebrity spokespeople were there. best of all it's closed to the public, only legitimate archery business people. If you've ever been to one of the deer and turkey expos, or even th… Continue

Well, I've already broken one of my New Year's Resolutions, which is to post a blog at least once a week. In fact, I had 2 or 3 composed in my head, but never even turned the computer on. I have a mundane job outside of my dream career at the baitshop, and that job has taken way too much time recently, not to mention I'm cold. My first post of the year was something like this-- When we were kids, my mother, in a futile attempt to get us to behave at least one day, told us that what we did… Continue

I love snow. I think it's beautiful, I love the stillness all day long, with just the shush of the snow falling, and maybe some birds singing. It's fascinating the way the snow brings out the outlines of objects- tree branches, electric wires, fences. It softens the hard edges of rocks and stumps. The red of a cardinal against a background of white snow- breathtaking. Continue

I almost didn't make it to last night's meeting; I was running late, I don't like driving after dark, it was cold... all my usual excuses. Then I remembered that one of my recurring whines is that meetings, classes, etc tend to be during the day, when I can't make them, so to justify my continuing to whine, I had to go. I'm glad I did. 2 hours simply wasn't long enough to get to all the info, but we did manage to cover a lot. It was nice putting faces and voices to internet images. One thing I'd… Continue

I guess I've just been too cold to type, because my original goal was to post a blog at least once a week. Once I get used to it, I like the cold weather. The great thing about living in SE Ohio is the constantly changing weather. It certainly isn't boring. Just think, we get to change our fashion look for every season- of course, with a hunting store I think camo is perfect for every season. Come out and see my dwindling collection of camo clothing, everything from jackets, pants and shirts to… Continue

The Web Goddess - Ellen Ball The Web Goddess - Introduction & Resizing Photos

Hello! My name is Ellen Ball, The Web Goddess. As the title implies, I am an E-Business Professional & Web designer. The old-standard title of "Webmaster" just didn't suit me, so I chose something a bit more appropriate. I graduated from the Hocking College E-Business & Web Design Program earlier this year. As "The Web Goddess" and your Volunteer Education Coordinator for the SEOB2B, I will blog periodically regarding E-Business and Internet issues. Through my blogs, it is my hope to sha… Continue

Martin Hanlin International Markets and Small Business

For years large companies have enjoyed access to international markets and small businesses have not been afforded the same opportunities. We believe that one of the most powerful tools that technology can provide us is the ability to go directly to the people. There are many developing countries that have emerging middle classes; similar to the United States after WWII. Citizens in these emerging economies enjoy American products. We are working hard to develop international contacts and hopefu… Continue

Syed Khalid Jamal Establishing a New- business to eradicate the Old-poverty

It has rightly been said that beginnings are the manifestations of the ends. This book is a potential beginning of a new kind of business with a new way of thinking. In the 21st century one thing that is most visible is globalization and one thing that is having an effect on our lives, probably more than anything else is its manifestations. It has impacted every aspect of human life; communication, travel, conversations, thinking processes, work, work places, work choices, technology and the li… Continue
