We had the health dept inspect us this past Friday. Fruits and veggies are okay, and baked goods are okay as long as you label them per regulations, but if you want to sell a couple dozen eggs at a market, you need a retail food establishment license, which is $125 or maybe $142, no one was sure. And your flock has to be inspected by the USDA, which they do for FREE! So no eggs at our market for now. But come by Fridays 4-6 pm, at the park across the street from Kroger in Trimble, and try some yummy tomatoes and peppers and zucchini, beans, cabbage, and cantaloupe. Don't forget the homemade bread and rolls, and you can put home canned jams and jelly on it. Just no eggs.
